Another nice fish dish last night: scallop on mahi with lobster bacon cream sauce.

Awesome place to watch Villanova beat Seton Hall to win the Big East Tournament. The food was great! I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich with fries. They have a beer club for trying different brews. The atmosphere was really great for the game and it was crowded with neighbors and friends.

Brunch in the Burbs!  Met some awesome ladies including fellow Yelpers Jessica W and Dee M for a Sunday afternoon brunch.  It was crazy fun.

Garrett Hill Alehouse is one of those places that I've driven by many times but never checked out.  It's on a corner in a mixed residential/business spot.  Very convenient to the Norristown High Speed Line and the Radnor  walking trail.

Entering, I found it to be clean, bright and open with a nice mix of light & dark woods.  Lots of natural light coming through big street facing windows.  There's the bar area and a dining area separated by a partial wall.  TV's are positioned so that you can watch "the game" from anywhere you sit.

I was greeted nicely and since it was fairly open, I chose our table.  Everyone else arrived, menus were provided.  They have really cool mimosa or Bloody Mary bars where you can fix your drink the way you like it.  I got the mimosa, mixed it with passion fruit juice, strawberry compote, alcoholic gummy bears. It was yummy.

The good was...good.  Everyone who got the chicken & waffles raved about them. I got waffles with fresh fruit.  I was expecting strawberries , bananas or blueberries.  I got raspberries. Eh. Not my fav.  The waffles were on the dry side, the maple syrup saved them.

Service was pleasant, leisurely, it's a Sunday brunch so we never felt rushed.

I would definitely go again, and next time go for the chicken & waffles.

Had a catered event here recently: rented out the first floor and had appetizers and a buffet for the main course. So I can't speak to a regular night's experience... but I can say this is a great place for hosting an event. We were a touch over capacity so it was crowded and difficult to move around the buffet for dinner, so keep in mind the size of your party. 40-50 would be Max for comfort.

The staff were excellent. So accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond. Decorated the black boards, promptly cleared tables, served appetizers, etc. They were the shining stars of the night.

In terms of food, it was all satisfyingly tasty. Loved the chicken and waffles appetizer as well as the smoked salmon crostini. The carving station of roast beef was a great main course item. We also had pasta with red sauce (not great), salmon, and chicken Parmesan. I would choose it all over again.

Overall: good space for hosting a party. $30/person. Would recommend.

Great place! Don't understand the 3 1/2 stars... went for the first time last Friday and just had to go back this Friday. The food is excellent! Had the fish of the day both Fridays. Salmon the first Friday - perfectly cooked with vegetables that were done just right. Grouper with scallops last night - excellent! And I'm a very picky fish eater - must be fresh not fishy and cooked properly- they did not disappoint. The second Friday my husband had the burger special - Swiss mushroom burger with jarlesberg cheese - the best burger I have ever had (because of course I had to have a few bites!). It was perfectly cooked and a great bun.  The wine list is lovely - the Cabernet suggested by Patrick was terrific. And so many beers on tap. And higher end whiskeys and spirits are on the shelf. Have a strong feeling this is our new favorite place for weekend dining.
